What a show !!!!
2 weeks after a very nice - but sometimes rusty- tour start in Werchter, Belgium, the Stones were in Paris for their 3 french show of the A Bigger Bang World Tour.
2007 is a very busy year for music fans with many bands touring Europe, including some who haven't played here for 10, 15, or even 20 years, and therefore the show wasn't sold out. There were still 60,000 fans in the stadium.

There rain was scheduled, but the last shower hit the stadium before 7:00 PM, so everyone could enjoy a dry Stones concert.
The band hit the stage at 09:22, and the show began with Start Me Up.
If was obvious that Keith was in much better shape than in Werchter, and so was the audience. The band performed in front of a very participative and enthousiastic crowd, almost like in 2006.

Tonight highlights were an extended version of All Down The Line,
She Was Hot,
and Can't You Hear Me Knocking played perfectly.
Waiting On A Friend made its 2nd apparition ever on a european concert to the surprise and pleasure of many.
It's All Over Now was a great surprise on the B stage, but You Got Me Rocking was not played as well as usual.

Charlie really seemed to enjoy being on stage, smiling during the whole show. He even dared the longuest "drum solo" I ever saw him doing, getting some nice response from the audience.
Ronnie and Mick were absolutely great, and Keith back to how we always knew him : he rocked. The somehow chaotic solo for Sympathy For The Devil in Werchter was forgotten, and despite a little mish-mash in the lyrics of Happy, he gave us a very nice solo section in the middle of the show. During Sympathy For The Devil he even came to the catwalk with Mick, doing part of his solo in the middle of the fans.

Once again, the Paris audience has been treated very well by the Stones with a very tight and powerful performance of the band.
What to hope for Lyon ?
Maybe they could play Sway and Little T&A, 2 of the emblematic songs of the current tour they have not yet played in front of a french audience ??
