METALLICA

Le Trabendo, Paris   -    June 11th 2003

Last of the 3 club shows played on one day in Paris

The setlist :
  1. Blackened
  2. Fuel
  3. Harvester of Sorrow
  4. One
  5. St Anger
  6. Enter Sandman
  7. Master of Puppets
  8. Creeping Death
  9. Hit the Lights

The Trabendo was the 3rd and last Metallica club gig on one single day.
This extensive series of shows was a very nice and original way to promote the release of the band's latest album, St Anger, and also the best way to introduce Roberto Trujillo, the new bass player to the french fans .

The show was supposed to take place at 10:00 PM, but it started at 11:50 PM. The setlist was great, and Fuel was the biggest surprise, since no song from either Load or Reload had been performed during the day's 2 previous shows.
One was a real surprise in such a small venue, and Hit the lights , played as an encore really shook the house down.

The band seemed to be in excellent shape and in a very good mood. 2 cameras were to be seen and some pictures of the gig were aired by a french TV channel a few days later. Among the few hundred people in the club, we could notice Catherine Ringer and Fred Chichin, from french band Rita Mitsouko.

The gig was intense, but short - about 70 minutes, and the new song, St Anger is sounding good live.

My only regret, apart of not being able to see the 2 previous gigs : I'd have loved to hear No Remorse.

Next time maybe...
