Iron Maiden was back in Paris Bercy almost exactly 3 years after the Brave new world Tour. Even if the release of the new album has been delayed, the band went on tour as scheduled.

The venue was sold out, and the stage was kept hidden until the last moment, but I have to say I was expecting more from the stage designers : no screen, no fireworks, just a good, classical light show.
The seats behind the stage were no covered, and from where I was, I could notice some echo...

The band was in great shape, the setlist was pretty good, and the song Wildest Dreams ,  from the forthcoming album  has been immediately adopted by the audience. Fear of the dark and Bring your daughter also were among the audience's favorites.
I was really happy to hear
22 Acacia Avenue and Revelations .

Bruce spent a lot of time speaking french, explaining some of the songs (especially Clansman ), announcing once again the new album and the next tour (Maiden should be back in Paris Bercy in November 2003)

Once again, a good show, but somehow disappointing in terms of stage design and sound. Maiden should have a look at other live acts like AC/DC or the Rolling Stones, they could find some good inspiration.
I'm not sure I'll be back there in November...
