July 26 : Happy Birthday Sir Mick !!

Mick is celebrating his 64th birthday today, after the Stones' concert in Warsaw yesterday night.

As announced the concert took place after a minute of silence. A fact to be noticed : in the very catholic and mourning country of Poland, Sympathy For The Devil was not on the set list.

June 6 : The Tour has started in Werchter

The Rolling Stones took the stage yesterday at 10:10 PM for an over 2-hour long concert in Werchter, somewhere near Brussels.
The fans who came to this Premiere of the band's Eur07 Tour were granted a few surprises :
the absolute live premiere of I'll Go Crazy, a tribute to the late James Brown,
the European premiere of Waiting On A Friend,
and quite a few songs they had not performed since quite a while.
Click HERE for the complete setlist. A complete review and more photos will be posted within a few days.

If you would like to share the photos you'll make during this tour, or photos you took on previous Stones concerts, feel free to email them so they could be shared with other fans around the world.

May 29 : News from the rehearsals

Here's a list of the songs the band practced after the 1st few days in Vilvoorde according to the fans outside the studio.
Some not too currently performed songs are in the list, along with an unsung version of Pretty Beat Up.

Shattered    She's So Cold    Bitch    Undercover    Oh No Not You Again    Heartbreaker    Under My Thumb    Wanna Hold You
You Got The Silver    Infamy    You Got Me Rocking    Let's Spend The Night Together    Respectable    All Down The Line
Just My Imagination
Monkey Man    Loving Cup    Love Is Strong    Pretty Beat Up (instrumental)    The Worst    Slipping Away
Thief In The Night    Happy    Some Girls    Can You Hear Me Knocking    You Can't Always Get Want You Want    Rocks Off    Miss You
Tumbling Dice    I'm Free    Shine A Light.

What we can notice is that Keith rehearsed a wide range of songs, but I really hope and look forward to listening to Little T&A, and to some of the songs the band played during the Fall 2006 US Tour : Far Away Eyes, Dead Flowers, She Was Hot and Sway, which for example has never been played yet in front of a french audience.

Feb. 18 : A new section at DoctorStones.net

A new page is born : Rolling Stones Covered.
You'll find albums and compilations of Stones songs covered by other artists, and sometimes by the Stones themselves.
Sometimes very good, sometimes pretty bad, sometimes too similar to the original, covers are a matter of taste. Here's a place to discover how people could be influenced by a song, and how they dealt with it themselves. Of course, this page will be updated regularily.
You will also be able to access this page thru the Collector's items section, which is on the homepage.

After his great work on the Rolling Stones' US Tours of 1975 (see HERE) and 1978 (see HERE) Jean-Marie Moreau is back with Silver Train, a brand new press book covering the Stones' European Tour 1973.
As a result of his work  :a 100-page book with articles in english, french and german and a lot of pictures, B/W and color.
Once again, his great  work is available to all fans for almost nothing, just a few bucks to cover the reproduction and shipping costs.

Feb. 8 : A busy period for Ronnie Wood.

While the fans are still waiting for the official annoucement of the Rolling Stones' european tour schedule for this summer, Ronnie Wood is everywhere.
He designed a window for the the Born To Rock exhibition currently to be seen in London at Harrod's, and he will be involved in the charity event taking place March 25 at the York House in Twickenham.
This event will be a tribute to Art Wood, who passed away last year, and the proceeds will go to the Prostate Cancer Charity. A print of one of Ronnie's paintings will be signed by him and auctionned.
